My Latest Updates

Bula Friends,

It is now 2008 and I have 9 more months left of my commitment here in Fiji.  I went home for Christmas and got to spend some quality time with my family.  It's been 4 years since our last Christmas together as a family.  I am back now and ready to start the new year. 

We just had our staff retreat in Nadi to get together and pray into the new year and to get reaquainted with one another.  We have some new ministries and new staff members at the Personal Transformation Centre now.  Ebenezer is a ministry for single moms and it is led by Sera and Sisa (out new staff).  We also have Alena who will be leading out in our evangelism and intercession.  

I am continuing as the Director of the children's ministry.  We have a lot to look forward to this year.  Our theme as a ministry for this year is "L.I.F.T." - Love, Integrity, Faith, and Transparency.  My goal is to make these 4 things a main part of my daily life.  I've got some exciting things planned for our year with Pathmakers Kids Club.  A Kids Camp in August 15-18th, mini-outreaches within the community, and a curriculum focused more on helping our kids grow spiritually.  Rusila and I will be co-leading the children's minstry.  Please be praying with us for guidance and wisdom as we lead the kids. We serve between 90 and 150 kids a week. 

Besides kids ministry, I've been counseling once a week at Drasa Secondary School (high schoolers).  This year, I will add Saint Thomas High School to my weekly schedule.  It is amazing how God gave me this rare opportunity to gain experience as a high school counselor while only having a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  I plan to go back to school when I return in September to get a license in therapy.  

 Thank you to all of you who have been supporting me with encouragement, prayers, and finances.  I cannot make it without you.  I know that God placed each one of you in my life to be a part of this ministry as well even though you're in far away places, you are still making an impact on Fiji.
